簡単英語ニュース - Woman Rescued After Myanmar Earthquake

ミャンマー地震で女性が救出される

A woman was rescued from the rubble of a hotel in Mandalay, Myanmar, on Monday. She had been trapped for almost 60 hours after a strong earthquake hit the country on Friday. Many people clapped when the woman was carried out on a stretcher. She was taken to hospital and is now in stable condition. More than 1,700 people died in Myanmar, and 18 people died in Thailand because of the earthquake.

Rescue workers have been searching for survivors in Myanmar and Thailand. In Mandalay, they rescued other people, including a pregnant woman and a girl. In Bangkok, Thailand, workers are trying to find 76 people trapped under a collapsed building. The earthquake damaged many homes, schools, hotels, and hospitals in Myanmar. Some people are using their bare hands to help because they do not have enough equipment.

Countries like China, India, and Thailand have sent aid and relief teams to Myanmar. The US has also promised to send $2 million in aid. Rescue efforts are difficult because Myanmar is facing a civil war. Many roads and bridges are broken, and there are still airstrikes in some areas after the earthquake.
